President and Founder

Paul joined the family business, Rose Iron Works, in 1973 and worked in steel fabrication and was instrumental in the initial setup of the metal building division.  This new construction division blossomed and in 1982, Rose Construction was created as a separate company. He is recognized as a leading authority in both structural concrete and pre-engineered steel construction.  Paul is a civic and religious leader and role model in the community, a graduate of the University of Tennessee at Martin, a past Chamber of Commerce president, and involved with numerous local organizations including Dyersburg State Community College, Carl Perkins Child Abuse Center, Tennessee Baptist Convention, and is involved with numerous youth activities in the community.

Chief Operating Officer/Partner

Steve joined Rose in 2003 and has brought a wealth of knowledge and experience to our company. Steve received his degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of South Florida and his Master’s from the University of Florida. Prior to Rose, Steve was the Director of International Operations for VP Buildings. Steve has worked in a variety of industries both domestically and internationally and was instrumental to our expansion into the Middle TN market.  He was able to identify the proper location, staff and strategy helping establish our company in this growing market.  Steve’s unique combination of business skills, sales and organizational leadership, financial P&L, construction experience, and operational expertise has been extremely valuable and instrumental to the company’s overall success. Steve is also an adjunct professor at both the University of Memphis and Christian Brothers University teaching in the Civil Engineering and Construction Management disciplines.  He is on the Civil Engineering Advisory Boards for both colleges as well.  

Vice President Sales & Marketing/Partner

Erik joined Rose Construction in 2003 after 6 years with St. Jude Children’s Hospital.  Erik received his B.S. degree from the University of Memphis and his Master’s of Business Administration from Union University. Since coming to Rose Construction Erik has been instrumental in streamlining our sales, design and estimating operations. Erik excels in client development and has strong experience working with design professionals. He is actively involved in his church and local youth activities and serves on the boards of LeBonheur Children’s Hospital and Dunlap retirement home. Also, following a devastating brain cancer diagnosis of their daughter Lucy, Erik and his wife Kate have co-founded the Go Lucy Go Foundation. The foundation serves the LeBonheur Neuroscience Institute by making gifts that touch every level of patient experience and provides comfort and support of families in medical crisis.

Vice President of Field Operations/Senior Project Manager/Partner

John Paul joined Rose Construction in 2010 following the completion of his Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Tennessee Knoxville.  He has a proven record of estimating projects as well as completing projects on time and budget.  More importantly he takes pride in ensuring our customers’ expectations are met by delivering projects with a high level of quality, while maintaining a safe working environment.  John Paul has completed dealership projects for Ford, Thompson Machinery and Peterbilt. He also has completed industrial/manufacturing facilities such as ERMCO, Memphis Contract Packaging, and HT Hackney.  John Paul has also been instrumental in completing several streetscape projects for TDOT and municipal water line enhancement projects across West Tennessee. Lastly, he has also been instrumental in implementing several technical enhancements to our engineering programs including most recently integration of drones/GPS mapping for civil estimating and takeoffs.

Regional Vice President, Middle Tennessee Division

David came to Rose in spring of 2004 as the leader of our new Middle Tennessee office. He earned a B.S. degree in Finance from the University of Kentucky with coursework in construction services and supervision from Clemson University. David is responsible for all company operations in the middle Tennessee region.  David’s background is very diverse in construction.  He started his career building glass factories and other industrial plants across the country. He then moved to Florida and worked with a developer rebuilding downtown West Palm Beach.  David came to Nashville in 1997 and covered the Eastern US building O’Charley’s restaurants, sports complexes, sound studios and pharmacies. More recently David has built over 20 design build car dealerships including Ford, Ford/Lincoln, Infiniti, Kia, Hyundai, and Nissan; Multi-Story 100,000 sf Conditioned Self Storage facilities, Gasification Plants, Post-Acute Care and Compounding facility and Church Fellowship Halls. David has contributed back to the community by being on the Board of Directors for the YMCA, serving as director of Rutherford County Rising Above Ministries for special needs children and Facilitator for Middle Tennessee and Southern Kentucky Thyca.org.  David and his wife Anne have two adopted children.  When not spending time with the family, David enjoys racing sailboats.

Vice President of Finance

Jennifer joined Rose Construction in August of 1997 as an intern while attending college. After completing her Bachelor’s degree in Accounting at the University of Memphis, she took the role of Accounting and Operations Administrative Manager for the company. Throughout her years at Rose Construction, she has been responsible for operational tasks which include job setup and budget management, contracts and change orders, and reports that assist the project managers and superintendents to run their projects efficiently and effectively. In addition to keeping the jobs on task financially, she has consistently kept Rose Construction on track with licensing, permitting, taxes, and other accounting areas that are important to the success of our company. She became Vice President of Finance in 2024 and continues to help our company and our customers thrive through the management of budgets, contracts, and finances. Jennifer is a solid anchor to our company and has a vital role in our day-to-day and overall success as a company.

Director of Human Resources & Company Services

David is an accomplished Human Resources Professional with a proven record of successful leadership and technical expertise.  He has worked for over forty years in Human Resources and has been instrumental in developing and enforcing numerous policies and procedures at Rose.  David holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Human Resources from Memphis State University and is a Senior Professional in HR, Compensation Professional, and is a member of several professional organizations such as the Society for Human Resource Management and Associated Builders & Contractors (ABC) of West Tennessee.  His experience in leadership, benefits, compensation, safety (OSHA), employee relations, and policy development are of great benefit to our company.

General Superintendent

Before joining Rose Construction, Barry operated his own residential building business.  Since 1987 he has been a senior General Superintendent for large-scale commercial and heavy industrial projects.  Barry's knowledge in the area of precision concrete is well known and respected.  His resume includes such projects as the construction of a 50,000 square foot manufacturing facility for the Mueller Brass Company and a 30,000+ square foot production facility for a local automotive company in Memphis.    Barry has completed an 80,000 square foot manufacturing facility and office building for ALCOA in Hernando, Mississippi.  He has performed class equipment slabs, pads, and grade beams for various industrial clients.  Barry’s commercial concrete experience includes, but is not limited to dealerships, churches, shopping centers, daycares, home improvement stores, and mini-storages.  Barry is considered a pre-engineered building expert with experience in Ceco, American, Bigbee and Butler buildings.
