Project Superintendent
The Project Superintendent manages and controls their assigned project, including overseeing field
operations, site safety, productivity, schedule, quality of work, subcontractor and supplier
coordination and work in conjunction with the Project Manager leading the project team. This position will operate out of our Covington, TN office. However, since we are a southeast regional company, the position could require out of town assignments so the incumbent must be willing to travel and work out of town as required.
Qualifications and job requirements include:
Minimum 5 years related experience or equivalent role (Commercial, Industrial construction experience preferred).
Proficient in understanding building plans and specifications, scopes of work, and project schedule.
Value Engineering and life cycle costing.
Familiar with construction management computer programs as well as Outlook, MS Word, and Excel experience a plus.
Ability to operate various types of construction equipment.
Understand how to properly use and the ability to use all hand tools required to complete various projects.
Ability to train others how to use tools and operate equipment.
Willingness and ability to lift and transport various construction material.
Willingness and ability to climb to roofs of buildings and into and above ceilings.
Team player with field supervision, project management and company administrative staff.
Safety standards knowledge and enforcement.
Ability to remain calm, focused and effective under time pressure situations.
Self-starter with ability to set goals and tasks with strong leadership skills.
Degree in commercial construction management, engineering, or related field preferred.

Project Manager
Rose Construction, Inc. specializes in the commercial and industrial construction markets with services that include design/build, field services, maintenance, and special projects divisions. Rose has been building long term relationships with customers for over 60 years based on client confidence, trust, and loyalty.
The Rose Construction Project Manager manages and controls all their assigned projects from cradle to grave. This can include: budgeting, estimating, being financially responsible for all aspects of the project, effective communication skills, discrepancy resolution skills, writing subcontracts, overseeing field operations, site safety, productivity, schedules, quality of work, subcontractor and supplier coordination and working in conjunction with the Superintendent on the project team. This position will operate out of our Covington, TN office. However, since we are a southeast regional company, the position could require out of town assignments so the candidate must be willing to travel and work out of town as required.
Qualifications and job requirements include:
5 - 10 years related experience or equivalent role (Commercial, Industrial construction experience preferred) in job responsibilities state above.
Construction estimating experience a plus.
Proficient in understanding building plans and specifications.
Value Engineering and life cycle costing.
Familiar with construction management software and general computer experience: Project Management, Scheduling, Outlook, MS Word, and Excel experience.
Team player with field supervision, project management and company administrative staff.
Safety standards knowledge and enforcement.
Ability to remain calm, focused and effective under time pressure situations.
Self- starter with ability to set goals and tasks with strong leadership skills.
Construction Management or similar degree preferred
